The White Card!

On April 6, 2025, the world’s sports community celebrates the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace! The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace was launched in 2013 by the United Nations together with the International Olympic Committee and included in the calendar of international and global dates. April 6 was not chosen as a date by chance. It was on this day in 1896 that the tradition of holding the modern Olympic Games was revived in Athens.

The International Day of Sport for Peace and Development is a holiday that unites people from different parts of the world around a common goal – to support and promote sport as an important element of the harmonious development of society. Ukraine actively participates in the celebration of this holiday every year, understanding that sport has a unique power to help unite people around peace, friendship and development.

Since 2007, the officially approved IOC symbol of International Sports Day is White Card.

Students and teachers of the college joined the #WhiteCard campaign organized by the NCO branch of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. Raising the White Card and affirming “Friendship-Respect-Perfection-Solidarity”, we are more united than ever and express intolerance for any manifestation of racism, malice, violence, aggression and war.
